Transportation in La Gomera
How to get to la Gomera ?
All connections come from the neighbouring island, Tenerife .
By Air:
- The island is connected to North Tenerife Airport (Los Rodeos, the national Airport) 2 times a day with Binter Airline
By Boat:
From Tenerife (32km away), you can take a ferry from the port of Los Cristianos (Terminal Maritima), only 12 kilometers from Tenerife South Airport ( Reina Sofia International Airport). There is a regular bus service from the Airport to Los Cristianos (Nº111).
There are 2 companies:
- Naviera Armas, the ferry crossing takes around 60 min
- Fred Olsen, the ferry crossing takes around 45 min

How to get around in la Gomera ?
With car:
The island has fairly good roads, although due to rugged terrain, there are many twists and turns. Driving is nevertheless a safe option. In addition there are numerous lay-bys on the side of the road where you can stop and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
